1895 United States Atlas

This Web site is a labor of love from Pam Rietsch. Pam has spent thousands of
hours scanning images from an old atlas of the United States. Her hope in
sharing this atlas with online researchers is to aid people in locating towns
and post offices during that difficult period between 1880 and 1900 when we
have no federal census to which to refer.

There is a page for each U.S. state, detailing each of the localities
found in this atlas:

a.. city or town's name
b.. population
c.. county
d.. area of the state where the city is located
e.. post office, railroad or express office
There are large maps for each state and a smaller map for each county, making
this a valuable resource.
