New Creek is west of Patterson Creek, both of which empty into the North
Branch of the Potomac. Knobly Mt. Divides the two creeks

No, tithables were aged 16 to 45, able-bodied and generally sane. Any
color.

You looking for the creek or the populated place? For EXCELLENT maps
contact the WVDOT, which sells great maps at under $1 each! They have some
that are larger than legal-size and a 2nd set that is euphemistically
called "wall size", but you need a pretty good sized wall for the counties
that need 4 sections! (g)
I buy the little ones because they're easier to spread out, but friends
prefer the big ones because they're easier to read. Anyway, get yourself
one of those maps for Mineral and Hampshire counties, and use your blue
high-lighter to mark the rivers, runs, and creeks. Hugely useful.
However, both the creek and the place are in Mineral County, somewhere
between Burlington and Keyser. I just don't remember WHERE exactly.
