Hi,
I am trying to find a naturalization record for George Carlyle/Carlisle,
who lived in Freeman's Landing from about 1852 to 1855. He arrived in
Ohio in 1849 from Scotland, and returned there in 1855. Since I have
yet to find a record in Ohio, I am hoping he applied while he was at
Freeman's Landing.

I spoke with someone at the Circuit Court in New Cumberland and they
said that archived records have been sent to Charleston. Does anyone
know if this is true? If so, does anyone know where I would write?
