I know that several of you are working on the Cuppy/Chapman family. Thought
you might like to tuck this obituary away.

Earle Chapman Cuppy, 63
New Cumberland - Earle Chapman Cuppy, 63, died Thursday March 30, 2000, at
Trinity West Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in New Cumberland, a son of the late Leslie
Earle and Elizabeth Chapman Cuppy.
He was a retired machine shop truck driver with Weirton Steel. He served
with the U.S Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a member of the New Cumberland Christian Church. He was on the
board of directors of Hancock County Sheltered Workshop, a member of the
4-H Club Foundation and Beaver County Antique Tractor Association. He was a
charter member of Herrons Airport and a major with the Civil War Patrol.
Cuppy also was the former owner and operator of Cuppy Amusements, the
former owner of Cuppy Greenhouses and the owner and operator of Cuppy Farms.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Rose (Ragusa) Cuppy of New Cumberland;
four daughters, Ann Cuppy of Weirton, Tammy and son-in-law John Snodgrass
of Charleston, W.Va., Tina Cuppy of New Cumberland, and Vicki Lynn and
son-in-law Eric Kester of Chestser; a sister, Iris Virginia Cuppy of New
Cumberland, and seven grandchildren, Scott Cuppy, Derek Martin, Hope
Snodgrass, Brian Snodgrass, Kayla Cuppy, Leah Cupppy and Joe Thomas.
Minister Tom Hess will officiate services at 11 a.m. Monday at the New
Cumberland Christian Church, Court Street, New Cumberland. Interment will
follow at the New Cumberland Cemetery, where the Tri-State Veterans Burial
Group will accord full military honors.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Sunday at the New Cumberland Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home in New
Cumberland.
