Attention Ohio Valley Family Researchers with Civil War Vets,

Just bumped into The West Virginia Archives and History site at

which has provided a brief regimental history of the First West Virginia
Infantry which is reprinted from the Annual Report of the Adjutant
General of the State of West Virginia for the Year Ending December 31,
1864

and the entire Roster List for the First West Virginia Infantry
Company's A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, & K at:

These recruits and volunteers are from the panhandle of WV/VA, Western
PA, and Northeastern OH.

Hope you are successful in finding some collateral lines as well as
direct ancestors - if you've worked in the Ohio Valley these names are
so familiar and this list provides many sad endings.
