I'm beginning genealogy research on my "Franks/Vereen"
family. I'm wondering if anyone can help with this
family?

My gr. grandparents - Pink/Pinkney FRANKS(African
American) b. North Carolina
approx. 1882 (age 39 in 1921)

m. Flora VEREEN(1/2 Cherokee Indian ?) b. South
Carolina approx. 1885(age 36 in
1921)

My grandparents - Booker FRANKS b. Hastings, St Johns
County, Florida on
4-20-1908 d. 7-21-1976 (Cleveland, OH)
was married to ( Nov. 27, 1929)
Julia CHAPPELL b.10-27-1914 in Troy, Pike County,
Alabama d. 3-16-1998(Cleveland,
OH).

My grandfather's siblings were:

Mary WISE(aunt Tessie b. 9-20-1919 d. 9-19-1976
(Cleveland, OH)
m.Clarence Wise)
Gladys ROSS - Compton, CA
Lucile/Lucille DANIELS - b. 10/25/1921 (NewCumberland,
Hancock County WV) d. 8/15/1982(Los Angeles, CA)
Lela FRANKS
Carl Jay FRANKS b. 2/18/1917 (FL) d. 7/26/1955 (Los
Angeles, CA)
Earl FRANKS
Ross FRANKS - Stationed in the South Pacific during
WWII

I'm told Earl and Lela were killed in a car/train
collision in 1930's

The family moved to California after WWII.
