Howard T. Shinn, 72 of Evans, Jackson County, died April 11, 1997 at Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired operating engineer and a member of the Operating Engineers Union, Jackson County Amateur Radio Club, and VFW, Ripley. He was a Protestant. Surviving wife, Eva June Parsons Shinn; sons, Terry of Marshall, NC, Frank of Powells Point, ND; daughter, Dianna Berry of Parkersburg, sister Pauline Smith of Washington, WV, one foster grandchild. Services were at Casto Funeral Home Evans, with the Rev. Ed Taylor officiating. Burial was in Otterbein Cemetery, Evans.
