Edgar "Ed" Riffle, Sr., 76, of Leon, WV, departed this life, May 28, 2004 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1928 in Leon, a son of the late Norman and Cora Belle (Roush) Riffle.
He was a retired iron worker from Malleable Iron Company in Point Pleasant with 30 years service, and was a former employee of the New York Central Railroad.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ella Louise (Hill) Riffle; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul I. and Wilma Riffle of Bidwell, OH, Henry L. and Judi Riffle, and Edgar "Eddie", Jr. and Irma Riffle, all of Leon; daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Mae and Clarence Fauver, and Edna "Jean" Sammons all of Point Pleasant, Elsie L. and Billy B. Lyons and Anna Belle and David Michael, all of Leon; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friends, Paul E. Sammons, Tony Keyser, and Eli Keyser.
Brothers, Harry, Earl, James, Howard, Lewis, William and Fred; sisters, Mary Jordan, Lucy DeVault, Myrtle Riffle, and Faye Riffle, and a son-in-law, Joseph Rice also preceded him in death
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
