I have Tapley and Susanna Garnes as siblings, children of Joseph Garnes
and Margaret Minnick. Tapley married Anna Parsons, sister of Susannah's
husband, Joshua. They were children of John Parsons, Sr and Mary
Greathouse. Joshua was married 3 more times and Tapley was married once
more.

Ezekiel Shamblin's mother was Margaret Parsons, another daughter of John
and Mary Greathouse Parsons. Mary Ann Lanham was, of course, the
daughter of John R Lanham and Mary Phoebe Garnes, who was another
daughter of Joseph Garnes and Margaret Minnick. Mary Ann later married
Evans Parsons, son of Henry Parsons and Lavina Turner (Evans was
Ezekiel's 2nd cousin).

Oh what a tangled web . . . Really, if you're not related to a Parsons
or a Casto, you are not a legal resident of Jackson County. (*_^)
