Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2003 21:49:29 -0500

Hi All,
Our Queries were in the Keyser Paper today!
Here's the ones that were printed.
This completes the queries I have right now, so if I forgot anyone's or if anyone else wants theirs printed in the paper let me know.
(I'm not including the "snail mail" addresses on the internet, but those that requested theirs printed were in the paper.)
Good Luck to All!
Patti

BAILEY / RODRUCK / ROTRUCK
I'm asking help in extending history of my Bailey line. My great grandfather was James Peter Bailey (7/3/1862-8/14/1951); his father was Thornton Bailey (11/16/1834-1/20/1914); his father was William Bailey whose wife was Elizabeth (c. 1805-11/6/1879). Thornton married Mahala Rodruck (Rotruck) (5/22/1834-7/19/1897), daughter of Peter Roderick and Catherine Miller. I have names & dates of other descendants. They were in and around Mineral County and MD across the river, although James Peter Bailey ended his days in Romney, Hampshire County, WV Contact: Mickay Miller Email:

RICE
Looking for info for Charles A. Rice. The 1920 Census for Mineral County New Creek Dist list Charles as 60, and occupation as a Retail Merchant Grocery and Owns the Store. Can any tell me any thing about this store? Charles and his wife Emily and 8 children lived on Chestnut St. in Keyser. Contact: Betty Mcnally, E-mail

LIKINS / ISER

Edith Likins shows up in the 1920 census as 6 years old and the daughter of James David and Nellie Malinda (Iser) Likins. Edith married and had a set of twins (boys/girls?). The family lost track of them. Any information on Edith and her family would be greatly appreciated. Contact: Mary Lenore Quigley

KEY(E)S / SPOTTS / RITZELL / SIRBAUGH / SHROUT
I am researching the following surnames with ties to Keyser, Keys-Keyes,
Spotts, Ritzell, Sirbaugh, and Shrout. John W Keys came to Keyser in 1871 and
built the Keys House. His brother, Phillip Keyes of Barton, MD died in Keyser
about June of 1887 and I suspect he is buried in Queens Point Cemetery in an
unmarked grave. I am interested in any information about my family, and in
particular if there is any way to verify the final resting place of Phillip
Keyes. Contact: John R. Keyes, Email
