Patti and all the good folks on this list,

I have just learned I have made a mistake in tentativelty placing Philip
Fleek/Flick, b. ca 1815 VA, as the son of Jacob1 (Henry).

I had believed from various sources, that all the children of Adam Fleek and
Elizabeth Umstadt were accounted for, so didn't place Philip as theirs.
However, I have just re-read the obituary for Mary Ann (Putnam) Dawson Fleek.
When she married Adam Fleek as her second husband, he was a widower with
EIGHT children, not 7.

Philip was in Tippecanoe Co, IN from 1841, with brothers Conrad and Abraham.
He married there, and I believe died there, 1856. He named his dau. Mary,
and his son Edmond, which would be for his half brother, son of Adam and Mary
Ann.

So, could everyone I have given wrong information to, move him from Jacob, to
Adam, please.

Sorry about the "tentative" error. I did say "PERHAPS".
Helen Benter
