According to Helen Stinton research materials in the Nicholas County, WV
Cemetery, William Jones was married to Jeany/Nancy Williams b. ca 1759.
daughter of John Thomas and Mary McCoy Willliams, Jeany/Nancy Williams was
born in Augusta Co. VA. There are many reference to William Jones in Augusta
County records with one record showing him giving his consent for his
daughter Jane Jones to be married.

I am descended from Elizabeth Jones who married William Williams. It is
speculated that she may be the daughter of John Thomas and Mary McCoy
Williams, but as far as I know there has been no proof yet.
