I am searching for more information re. Joseph M Ashby B.abt 1832 Preston Co. who was wounded in the CW but died later in the Co. of mysterious circumstances. It was reported on front page of paper but I can't locate the paper nor do I know the name of the paper there. His widow, Mariah applied for a pension. Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
