enlisted 25 Nov. 1861 Charleston
6' 2" tall, light complexion, black eyes, chestnut hair
born about 1841 Kanawha County
son of Natus Sr. & Hannah Smith Legg
married Sarah Burdette 25 May 1865 Kanawha County
