Here is the info.
George W. Cox (26) of Cabell co s/o William and Sarah Cox married Mary A.
(and it says STATON) but you would know) (19) of Mason Co d/o James and M.
Staton on November 30, 1859 in Putnam Co., W(VA)
Now to my Mason co book..I don't find a James Staton in Mason co. but I do
find him in 1850 Putnam co census,,and it is STATON there also.Here goes

Martha..34
and here is his daughter or daughter in law and her children
Margaret A. Staton 25
May A. Staton 10
Simon S. Staton 6
Martha J. Staton 3

Hi!
I am trying to locate information on a marriage for George W. Cox,
originally of Cabell County, (West) Virginia, to Mary A. Straton, of Red
House, Putnam County, (West) Virginia. His obituary states that they
married in 1859. Can anyone do a marriage lookup for me for this marriage.
I assume that they married in Putnam County. I didn't find any record of
marriage in Cabell County. I would like to know who her parents were, in
case anyone knows. Thanks!
