Verl GARNER, 83, of Rt. 1, Greenwood (Buck Run Community), WV, died Monday,
Jan. 27, 1992, at his residence.

He was born near the Buck Run Community, Ritchie County, WV, a son of the
late Gordon and Dollie FERREBEE GARNER. He was a veteran of World War II
with both the U.S. Army Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps. He had been
employed by Dotson's Hardware of Pennsboro, WV, and retired from the Mid-Atlantic
Glass Company of Ellenboro, WV. He was a 13-year volunteer of the Richie
County Emergency Squad, Pennsboro Division, and a member of Mountain Grange
515 of Mountain, WV, the American Legion Post 83 of Pennsboro, and the
Church of Christ at Pennsboro.

Surviving are three sons, Jack McCRADY of Boaz, WV, Edward TERRELL of Rt.
1, Greenwood (Buck Run Community), and David TERRELL of Fort Drum, NY;
four daughters, Donna WILSON and Sandy CAIN, both of Parkersburg, WV, Rosie
MONROE of Newport news, VA, and Christine WEBB of Greenwood; 20 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruby CARPENTER GARNER, a brother
and a grandson.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 31st, 10:00 a.m., at McCullough-Rogers
Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Evangelist Terry Jones officiating. Burial
will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, near Buck Run.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Thursday and after
9:00 a.m. Friday until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Virginia School for
the Blind, Romney, WV 26757.
