I noticed the WV Vitals web-site is finally back online. I really missed it
while it was offline. I've found many death certificates for my genealogy
documentaion and find the web-site most useful since you can search the
entire state or limit the search by county.

Has anyone registered to get a userid and password to help with the indexing
to get even more of the WV vitals information online? I registered a little
over a week ago and I really like how they have it set up. You do just one
page of death records or birth records at a time and you can stop after the
one page or download another and keep going. They will be adding WV Marriage
records to the list soon. If anyone is interested, here's the URL that has
information about it. http://www.familysearchindexing.org

They have the census for 1900 for several states listed, and WV Births and
Deaths. I much prefer doing the births and deaths since they are for the
state where I'm familiar with most of the surnames.

If you decide to register, and want to select what you help index -- be
aware there are two buttons for downloading and if you select the first
button [Download Indexing Batch] you'll get the next page in line but it
might be for a census in a state where you are not familiar with the
surnames -- use the 2nd button which reads [Download From...] and then
you'll get a list of items so you can choose which one you want to work on.
