not much help!
in the roster of confederate soldiers, there are 2 alexander byrds::
one in the fl. 5 th inf. reg., & alexander c. byrd in the al. 1 st reg. inf.
there also was a alex. f. byrd in the sc 6 th inf co. e.
sorry, that's all there was .
