Hi Mike,

Very interesting....and no, I don't think it has ever come up before. Guess we've just been too busy trying to find all of the elusive Dotsons ;-) Wouldn't it be crazy if you and I connected as well as our spouses?! Of course, we're talking a century apart here.....so I guess it will be quite some time before we could ever determine any connection.

Nice to hear from you again!

Sue

Hey Sue,

Don't know that we've ever discussed this before, but I too have a Ball
connection, though they are not blood relations, just people close enough to
be family that we have always considered them as such.

My grandmothers' brother, Robert Nicholson, was married to Mary Howlin.

Mary's sister, Louise, whom we affectionately called Aunt Toots, was married
twice. Her first marriage was to Raymond Joseph Ball. Don't really
remember much about him (he died in the 60's), but they lived in Adelphi and
owned Phil's Bar & Grill on Rte 1 in Beltsville. They had three children:
Mike, Charlie, and Amy - all redheads.

Cheers, Michael

Happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all, from an Irish descendant of the
Fitzpatrick's of County Wicklow
