My WILSON's are primarily from Grandin, Carter County, Missouri at least
back to the 1880's or 1890's. That's about as far as I have been able to
trace them.

Prior to that time there is some indication they came from Tennessee,
Kentucky,
and possibly Virginia.

I only recently started to try and build a Family Tree, and I got most of
my information
from the West Carter County Missouri Genealogy Society, Van Buren,
Missouri.

I was able to get census, marriage, and cemetery information.

I also got some information from a gentleman doing research for his wife,
who is
a decendent of the TUBBS Family. My grandfather Roy Theodore Wilson
married
Rosella Tubbs. I believe the TUBBS came to Missouri from Tennessee, and
prior to
that were possible in Indiana.

I never knew my father Roy Joseph Wilson, since my mother and he divorced
when
I was 2 or 3 years old. I have had no direct contact with the Wilson
family. I do know
that my father Roy Joseph Wilson died in 1991.

Strangely enough, my first wife was also a WILSON from Kansas. I do have
some
information about them.

If any of this looks helpful please let me know and I'll be happy to
respond.

I am thinking that this might be a brother to my husband's H. J. Wilson,
in Shannon, MO...Jefferson City, Carter Co's, MO...

My husbands family married into the Beard's family and have been from
NC...too!
