Information concerning the descendants of William Wilson and Margaret
Weaver, Fayette County, Ohio, can be found in the book, The Wilsons of
Rattlesnake Fork, by Eva Wilson McCoy and Elizabeth Wilson Haines, 1980,
Adams Press, Chicago, Library of Congress Catalog No. 80-66489. I have this
book and am willing to provide information to anyone who wishes.

On 25 Sep 1834 William and Margaret (Weaver) Wilson sold 164 acres on
Barnett's Road in Madison Co. Virginia to Alfred Utz. On 5 Dec 1834 William
and Margaret purchased 165 acres on Stafford Road, Green Twp., Fayette Co.,
Ohio. Many of William and Margaret's descendants still reside in the Fayette
County, Ohio, area today.

William Wilson, farmer, b. 12 Sept 1779, Madison Co., VA, d. 7 Jun 1835,
Green Twp., Fayette Co., OH, son of James Wilson and Lydia Remey; m. 18 Jan.
1803, Madison Co. VA, by Isham Tatum to Margaret "Peggy" Weaver, b. 11 Jun.
1780 in VA, died 4 Oct. 1858, Green Twp., Fayette County, Ohio, daughter of
John Weaver, Jr., and Elizabeth Finks.


Children. All but the youngest Wilson children were married in Virginia:

1. Lucinda, b 26 Oct 1803, d. 8 Sept. 1846; m Jacob Garlinger, b 1793, d 13
Apr. 1857, 3 ch. Both died, Fayette Co., Ohio. All children were born in VA.

2. John Wesley, b. 10 Mar. 1805, d. 21 Nov. 1867, Fayette Co., Ohio; m(1)
13 Apr. 1827 to Elizabeth Fishback, b. 12 Oct. 1806, d. 29 Dec. 1849,
Fayettte Co, Ohio, 7 ch; m(2) 27 Nov. 1852 to Rebecca Syferd, b. 17 Oct.
1825, d. 17 Apr. 1891, Fayette Co., Ohio, 7 ch.

3. William, b. 30 Jan 1807, d. 15 Dec. 1846, Fayette Co., Ohio; m. to Peachy
Fishback, b. 10 Jun 1810, d 15 Jul 1878, Fayette Co., Ohio, 7 ch.

4. Elizabeth, b. 16 Mar 1809, d 4 Mar 1888, Fayette Co., Ohio; m. 10 Dec
1828 to Absalom Deer, b. 7 Aug 1807, d. 1865, Fayette Co., Ohio, 5 ch.

5. Dicy, b. 18 Nov 1812, d. 18 Nov 1857, Fayette Co., Ohio; m to David P.
Dowell, d 1857, Fayette Co., Ohio, 6 ch.

6. Mary, b. 8 Aug 1813, d 2 Oct 1857, Fayette Co., Ohio; m. to John J.
Reddish, b. 3 Jul 1803, d 14 Oct 1844, Fayette Co., Ohio, 6 ch.

7. Merry m. 17 Sep 1835, died before 1859 in Vernon Co., Missouri, to
Angeline Binegar, 6 ch. (Most children returned to or remained in Fayette Co.).
