First Families of Ohio was created in 1964 by OGS for its members to honor
their pioneer ancestors, residents of Ohio by 1820. High standards have
been maintained in requiring well documented proof of birth, death and
marriage, of connecting links between generations, and of pre-1820 residence
in Ohio....there is always a chance of error...

...is arranged alphabetically by pioneer ancestor. Included are the
pioneer's assigned number, date proven in Ohio, the county in which proved,
dates of birth and death, name of spouse (with number, if also proved in
FFO), and the members' numbers. Members' numbers are presented
chronologically in a separate section. No...addresses...included is
alphabetical list of members and a spouses' index.

FFO membership applications with documentary evidence are on file at the OGS
headquarters in Mansfield. They are filed by _Member Number_, and they may
be examined at headquarters. To insure their security, all files have been
microfilmed."

necessary to attain info from OGS, just the member number.
