From the Alani hardly came any I1 contribution. Please notice the Alani
were *no Germanic* people but an Iranian population from eastern
steppes, part of the Sarmati, which around 400 AD moved together with
the Vandali to the Roman Lusitania province (the plains of southern
Portugal, Alentejo) and only 30 (!) years later continued to accompany
the Vandali on their way to north Africa ...
Direct descendant of the Alani is the Ossetian people of the northern
Caucasus area (North Ossetia still is called Alania, too). Also the
Ossetian language is Iranian.
Best regards.
