Edna Yancey Bartlett
BARTLETT Mrs. Edna Yancey Bartlett - age 77, a native of Kinston, AL and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at a local hospital. Mrs. Bartlett was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Prior to her illness, she was very active and served as hostess for the Baptist Campus Ministry at the University of South Alabama for 15 years. She was a faithful member of Woodmont Baptist Church and served as church hostess for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Bartlett; her parents, Neal and Daisy Yancey; four brothers: Orell, Wilson, Wayne, and Cecil Yancey; three sisters: Blanche Yancey, Evelyn Hudson and Vera Lee Brown. Survivors include three children: Tony (Ann) Bartlett of Mobile, AL, Cindy (Bud) Clayton of Mobile, AL and Randy (Janet) Bartlett of Auburn, AL; her sister, Lucille Bailey of Opp, AL; her brother, Charles Yancey of Opp, AL; grandchildren: Jessica Bartlett, Adam Bartlett, Alison Bartlett, Gary (Amber) Bartlett, and E!
dward (Brandy) Tolbert; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Cottage Hill Baptist Church on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 :30 a.m. until the service time. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 900 Western America Circle, Mobile, AL 36609 or to the Gideon's International Bible Fund, Magnolia Avenue, Theodore, AL 36582. Funeral arrangements by Pine Crest Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy., Mobile, Alabama.
