George, John & Ann are children of George Yate, Esq. (aka George Yates, I) &
Mary Wells. Elizabeth is one of Mary Wells' daus. by her 1st husb. Thomas
Stockett, III.

I have Squire Allen Yates as son of Hugh Yates, Sr. (m. Sarah 'Sally'
Vannoy), son of John Yates III (m. Jemima Roper), son of John Yates, II (m.
Elizabeth Kilgore). I descend from John & Elizabeth (Kilgore) Yates through
son Thomas Yates, Sr. (m. Rebecca Ragsdale). I'm trying to sort out the
facts related to this portion of the lineage. John Yates, II is prob. (but
unproven to be) the same person as John Yates, son of John Yates, I (m.
Elizabeth Tucker), son of George Yate, Esq. (m. Mary Wells). This line
continues on back into Berkshire, England several more generations.

I currently have nothing on the descendants of Mary Alice Yates, but would
like to hear about them.
