Here's one for you: I have a contact who is not on-line who says that his
father was James W. York, b. ca 1875-1880 who married a Dora McMillan. They
had a daughter named Mary Creighton York, b. ca 1900, d. 1932. Mary York
married a William Hutchinson, or Hutcheson. He believes that James W. York
lived in Allen and Monroe counties in KY and also either Macon, Clay or
Putnam counties in TN. He claims that his grandmother Mary Creighton York
was related to Sgt Alvin C. York. Although I am a grand-nephew of the Sgt, I
have not been able to help him.

Is there anyone on this list who knows anything about this James W. York,
and what connection he may be to Sgt York?
