I am very interested in an Elizabeth LINFOOT, possible daughter of William
and Elizabeth BENSON LINFOOT. Elizabeth LINFOOT was born circa 25 Nov 1816
in York, Yorkshire, England. According to a pamphlet written by a long dead
cousin, her mother, along with her and her siblings, came to Canada after
William died in England circa 1830. Elizabeth LINFOOT was married to George
MERCER in Canada [possibly Toronto area.] circa 1831. I have not been able
to prove this. Elizabeth and George Mercer were in Texas, USA by 1840. Her
possible brother was William Poole Linfoot who apparently came with them to
Texas.

William LINFOOT was born 4 May 1779 and possibly baptised 6 June 1779 at
Askham Richard, Yorkshire, England to Thomas and Hannah? BLYTH? LINFOOT.
Elizabeth BENSON, born 8 Nov 1786 York, Yorkshire, England, was the
possible daughter of William and Hannah POOLE BENSON. Can you help me in
any way? Thankyou.
