there is no weirdo sending viruses using your mail address. This is
just the 'Badtrans' virus in action. Any mail that sits unanswered in
your mail box can be infected by the Badtrans virus IF it is attached
to another message waiting. Confusing, I know, but this is how this
particular virus moves around. The virus is passed unintentionally and
unknowingly and is pretty difficult to stop. It is relatively harmless
but slows up the mail by clogging the system with panicky messages and
forwards of itself..

The virus attaches itself to unread mail in your box and then after
selecting a little of the body of that mail it emails itself back to
the sender so that it looks like a reply from you. It attaches a '>
Look to the attachment' note to the mail, and then those who are not
in the know look at the attachment, unwittingly let the virus onto
their system, and then people start writing to you to say 'Hey, you
infected me, you horror...' etc., when in fact you know nothing of
what's going on.

Don't unsubscribe. In fact, if you were to wait until the weirdoes
were off this list you'd wait a long time!! And if you unsubbed how
would you know they had gone?!
