Can you put me in touch with your friend doing the PhD thesis please.
My gt gt grandfather's sister Mary Ann DIXON married a William Mortimer
BAINES in New Zealand and they moved back to England to take up an
inheritance, an estate at Narburn, south of York in the 1860s.
Edward is a name used often in this family so I would like to learn more
about Edward BAINES, editor of the Mercury.
