The baggy cardigans are still required wearing in Liverpool. I was at the
Liverpool Record Office last week, and there were several (and also
spectacles on chains).

As to your flares - are they serious family history clothing ? If you were
wearing them as a homage to your parents' time as hippies in the 60s and
70's, then that's OK. If you were just following fashion, then its not
really acceptable.
