Subject: [YKS] Is genealogy getting just TOO popular? Time to stop

As I seem to have contributed about half the e-mails, I have to agree that
it is time to stop the rather silly aspects of this thread of e-mails. Fun
while its lasted, but lets leave it at that. I've e-mailed Jeff off-list to
apologise and encourage him to stay on the list.

The way in which the Yorksgen list digresses from the subject of family
history is one of its joys. Often this has led us to discuss aspects of
social history and personal memories that are very interesting. I wouldn't
want to put a stop to any of that - and sometimes that develops out of some
of the sillier discussions.

A good example is Jean Spence's e-mail about her grandmother's fox-skin
stoles. That could well develop into an interesting discussion, so lets keep
that part going.
