Hi Lis

My ancestor William COOPER from Gornal gives his occupation as Master Tool
Maker.
There appeared to be a William Hall listed aged 18 from Moorends. He is
listed as Tool Makers Apprentice
In 1851 he lived at The Levels in Thorne.
One of his children became a Blacksmith another a bricklayer/plasterer.
What sort of tools would William have been making. I have been searching
around net but haven't come across anything useful.

Also Sarah his wife was a Straw Bonnet Maker was this a local occupation for
that area. (Beleived to be Sarah Ellis from Fishlake).

Any help appreciated as ever
