Hello Jenn,

I have used the 1837 overseas site, although not for Cyprus. Most of the
records are for military and diplomatic personnel, so if your friend's
relative was attached to either of these categories you could be in luck.
As with most such records, they are a bit patchy in places.

If I remember correctly - it is a while since I did my search - you put in
the time period you are interested in and a list of records for that time
frame comes up. You then choose the ones that seem most likely.
