I heard that story the other way round- it was £10,000 in Yorkshire and a
local call from Cornwall, still can't please em all ;>)

The reason for the Customs and Immigration people at the Yorks border is
that Yorkshire, like no other county, is also known as "God's
Country." It is the home of the Golden Telephone, which in every other
place charges around $10,000 to make a call to the Most High, but in
Yorkshire, it's a local call!

Hope you noticed the <vbg> at the end of Roy's message! (Glad to see you
