Oh dear. Aren't we over-reacting just a teensy weensy bit,
Magdalena?
I have never claimed to have any "fans". I think most listers will
recognise that this is your invention, based on what emotion I could
not say. I simply decided to return to the list after a fairly
lengthy absence and I seem, on the whole, to have been warmly
welcomed by the majority. I do apologise most humbly and sincerely if
this has slightly put your nose out of joint, but it seems to be your
problem and not mine. I have no idea what the reason is, I'm sure.
Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that I don't actually take
myself too seriously. Can't speak for you, though.
I think if you analyse the responses I have given since my return you
will find that around 80-90 per cent or thereabouts have been
entirely genealogy and family-based and helpful. Certainly, all the
messages I have read in reply to my postings about writing up your
family history have been entirely supportive and welcomed. Perhaps
you take exception to some of the advice I have given? If so, I am
sure the other listers would be interested to know why and for what
reason? I posted, for instance, a list of around a dozen topics I
thought listers would be interested in and on which I can deliver
chapter and verse. Is this somehow a problem to you? Do tell us...
Over to you.
Best wishes
