Whatever happened to the old protocol of putting pertinent surnames in the "Suject" line and within the message, in UPPER CASE ?

Hi all,

I'd be really grateful if someone could help.

I have discovered that my uncle, Walter Chatterton born about 1910 played football for Hartlepool. It is the club's centenary next year and there is the intention to produce a commemorative book with the history of the club and a potted piece on all the players. My cousins and I have lost touch with Uncle Walter's daughter Winifred.and we would like to contact her, not least because the club would like to hear from her. We know she married, possibly in Hartlepool. She will be in her mid seventies now so this marriage may have been about 50 years ago.

Is there anyone with a subscription to the right web site who would be willing to look up this marriage please? She was last heard of in the Darlington area so if I had a surname I could look her up in the phone book. If when doing the look up you come across a Winifred Chatterton marrying a Victor Godden, this is not the right one as this lady was our Aunt.

I know this is over the border in Durham so it is a bit cheeky!
