Does anyone have any information my YOUNG ancestors?
My ancestors, John YOUNG and his wife, immigrated from Scotland to Wisconsin
where my grandfather, Robert Stephen YOUNG was born on 30 Nov 1851 in
Baraboo, WI along with a brother, James. Robert migrated to Oklahoma
Territory and married Anna Belle GOIN about 1897...at this point I do not
know the place of their marriage. James visited Robert in Cement, OK in the
1920s or 1930s (I have a photograph of their visit) and other than family
lore having James prospecting for gold in Colorado, I do not know where he
lived or if he had a family.
I do not know how many brothers or sisters were in Robert's family or if
John moved his family to Oklahoma Territory around the 1850s to the 1870s.
I have not had an opportunity to search any Wisconsin census for the period
1850 to 1870 nor have I had any success at this point in locating John's
Naturalization Record. However, my search continues.
