Hi Everyone,

This information was just sent to me by my friend Regina Diamond
Tackett back home (she helped compile "History of Lawrence Co, KY"). I
hope each one of you will select at least one veteran in your family who
has LC roots and submit a bio in the format indicated below.

LAWRENCE COUNTY AND RELATED ROOTS
BOOK PROJECT

We Wish to thank you for interest in the Veterans Project "Salute to the
Veterans" to be available Septemberfest 1998. Project articles and
stores should be submitted by June 1, 1998. There will be no submissions
after that date. This project is a Historical Preservation Project
sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, Louisa Chapter
4-056KY.

WHAT THE ARTICLE SHOULD CONTAIN:
1. Full name of veteran

2. Enlistment date into military service

3. Where veteran served

4. Date of military discharge

5. Veterans Honors - metals, ribbons, etc.

6. Was veteran in a war and which one

7. Is the Veteran living, deceased or was he captured or Missing In
Action

8. Veteran's parents names

9. If married name of wife (Full Name)

10. The names of Wife's parents

11. List names of children, if any

12. Burial place of veteran

13. Photo size 3 1/2 x 5 inches. DO NOT SEND ORGINALS. Photos will
not be returned.

INQUIRES AND ARTICLES SHOULD BE MAILED TO: VETERANS PROJECT, Route 6,
Box 15970, Louisa, Ky."
