Subject: [BOZEMAN-L] Indian claims

I have searched the 8 volumes of "Cherokee by Blood - records of Eastern
Cherokee Ancestry in the US Court of Claims 1906-1910", by jerry Wright
Jordan.

Volume 6 had four Bozeman claims:

14085 by Jas C. Bozeman of Tate, Pickens Co, GA - rejected
14086 by Sarah Bozeman of Tate, Pickens Co, GA - rejected

16277 by William Bozeman and 1 child of Marble Hill, Pickens Co, GA - rejected
16287 by Lincoln Bozeman and 7 children of Marble Hill, Pickens Co, GA -
rejected.

These were decendants of Amos Bozeman and certainly Amos lived near Indians in
both Hall and Cherokee County, GA.

Note many in Pickens County were loyal to the Union in the Cival War and
although many Bozemans started the fight on the CSA side some finished
fighting for the Union. Pickens is even said to have flown the Union Flag
during the Civil War as feeling were very mixed.

These last two were noted to related to the Biddy case #7615 but that case
provided no Bozeman names.

I could find no other Bozeman names in the 8 vol of claims, but I would
welcome any futher information.
