Nancy,
I don't think we have any reason to question whether Samuel and Ann were the
parents of Luke. However, there are some questions which are begging for an
answer.
1) When was Samuel born? It could have been earlier than 1730.
2) Where was Samuel born? I doubt that it was really Bladen County.
3) When and where were Samuel and Ann married?
4) Was Ann the second wife of Samuel? It is possible.
5) When and where did Samuel die? I think it may have been earlier than
1795. Who has a source for the 1795 date?
6) Who were the parents of Samuel? I question whether his father was Joseph
Edward Bozeman.
7) Every Bozeman line has a gap between about 1700-1750. We all have a
missing generation. Why? Where are the records?
The keys to answering these questions are in Southampton County, Virginia
and/or Halifax County, North Carolina.
Steve
