>From what you present it seems your Carl was indeed the half brother of my
ather Clifford Anthony Case and then we are related and share the same Case
ine. His grandfather was then Charles Carroll Case and his middle name was
OT Cory. I believe this confusion is the result of a Charles Mahlon Case
1845-1905) who married Isabella Cory (1849-1884) in New York. In addition I
uggest you not accept the Norfolk England birth of the William Clifford
ase (father of CC Case) which is refuted by the 1850 census records and
umerous records of the other children, most of whom we have identified. At
he time (1850) 2 of the children were still at home and one of them is CC
ase. My father was Clifford Anthony Case and his brothers were Harold
ldred Case and Charles Carroll Case, both of whom I knew. Half brothers
ere then Wayne and Carl and half sister Esther. Charles Carroll Case did
arry Esther Anne Green(e) and William Clifford Case, hais father, married
ynthia Taber from Rhode Island. I do not know any more of Wm's line but the
ine of Cynthia Taber, a Mayflower descendant, is well documented.
As for the William Clifford Case who is buried in Giddinsgville, I do not
now where in Connecticut he was born. To further compound your problem if
ou choose to pursue this, I am in the Case DNA project and it seems my line
s from John Casse and not the John Case/Sarah Spenser line and I am closely
elated to the Cass line.
Welcome cousin.
