Joseph,
I saw your post on Dorsey list. My Uncle Frank Dorsey (84) did the Dorsey
DNA. He does not have email and lives in West Virginia. I have printed
several "Basic DNA" sites but it is all just mind boggling to me. Is there
somewhere that I can go to learn enough to figure it out and to explain it
to my Uncle? I have had results for over 3 months and I really need to
figure out how to explain it to him. Any help you can provide is greatly
appreciated.

John Logan Dorsey/Benjamin Franklin Dorsey (Hester Prather) (he had 5
wives)/Jasper Douglas Dorsey/Douglas Dorsey/Norma Geneva Dorsey (my Mother)

Thanks,

Hi Carolyn,

What time frame are you talking about and where did they live? Do you
know what part of Ireland or England this lineage originated? Do you know
what religion they practiced?

Has any male in your family joined the Family Tree Darcy/Dorsey DNA
Project?

I am researching my DORSEY Ancestors after several years of
concentrating on other family lines. My known DORSEY family line goes
back six generations to my Great- Great Grandfather: John Henry
DORSEY, to Great-Grandfather: Joshua Denny DORSEY, to Grandfather:
John Harrison DORSEY, to my Father: Melvin Dean DORSEY and to His
son: Murray Dean DORSEY, and to his son: Michael Dean DORSEY who has
no children. Neither of the living males would consider DNA testing.
Is there any alternative action?
