Sorry, I personally have no reference for Joan de Clare b. c. 1175,
supposed daughter of Richard "Strongbow" de Clare and wife of Godfrey
Gamage. It is in the Archives in posts during 1998 and 1999 (with no
references), I've also seen it in on the www.familysearch.org search site.
Also a couple of other places. So I was curious to see if anyone had a
legitimate reference.

My only connection with Joan is that if she existed, she is the sister of my
ancestress Isabel. Also the Gamage family descends from one of my Talbots.

As for the length of time Aiofe was married to Richard 1171 to 1176, it
would seem suffient time to have 3 or more children. They probably could
have, but did they. I really don't know and so I asked.

Regards,
Althea Van Pay
