Round recorded a charter of Robert de Vitré giving a rent of 12 pence to
Savigny abbey with the consent of his son André (_Calendar of
Documents..._ no 828). This is undated, placed by Round between a
charter of 1163 and another of 1166-81.

André is also named as Robert's son in a charter of Geoffrey, duke of
Brttany confirming various gifts to Savigny ("Ex dono Roberti de Vitreio
et Andree filii eius..."), see _The Charters of Duchess Constance of
Brittany and her Family, 1171-1221_, edited by Judith Everard & Michael
Jones (Woodbridge, 1999) no. Ge22, p. 25.

Apart from his paternity, there are a number of further details about
him in these ducal charters.
