John,
Inputs noted.
I am proceeding with my Surname Project Y-STR Haplotype Average Mutation
Rate Log and project. We will see where it leads and what other develops
turn up in relationship to my theory via the geneticist's research into
the Y chromosome over the next few years.

P.S. Can you double check the mutation counts you made in my project and
posted in the message yesterday. I counted 7 unique mutations, not 8 for
the 37 marker haplotype. I think the clerical error was made in the 2nd
panel where you got 4, when it should be 3, and then you added on 4 more
from the 3rd panel. Clerical mutations. We all make them. We're all
human. If you agree it is 7, will you update the procedure with another
message post. It should be simple to cut and paste a new message with
the minor corrections of the arithmetic. Then if you wish you could
delete the prior one from the archives, if you wish. Only you the writer
can delete it. I will then use your new corrected message in the link
from my Log to aide people to calculate the haplotype average mutation rate.
