John,

I count only 2 mutations in the second panel, i.e.., markers 13-25. We
have two pairs of close cousins to each other in separate lines of
descent. These pairs are in turn more distant cousins to the other pair
via the common male ancestor because they descend from separate sons of
the common male ancestor. Both pairs have 31's at marker DYS449. This is
a case of are parallel mutations. Thus the total unique mutations in the
second panel is 2, not 3.
