About three months ago, I analyzed the genetic distances between
kits with 67 marker results in Charles Kerchner's R1b project.
I've redone the analysis and uploaded a spreadsheet with the
results to the file named:
R1b67 Genetic Distances.xls
listed near the bottom of this page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DNA-ANTHROGENEALOGY/files/
After I submit this post, I will upload the spreadsheet to the
DNA Heritage web site so that people without Yahoo IDs can see
it. (DNA-H requires a post to the list before you can upload a
file associated with the post.)
For each 67 marker kit, the spreadsheet lists the average GD of
the kit from all of the other kits, the maximum GD from the
other kits, and the GD from every other kit.
Changes between last time and this time:
The number of kits with 67 marker results increased from 199 to
252.
The modal value for CDYa changed from 36 to 37. 73 kits now
have CDYa=36; 75 kits have CDYa=37.
Last time there were seven kits with null DYS425, and there were
no other null markers in the project. Now there are eleven
67-marker kits with null DYS425, and one with null DYS448 (Frad
66219).
Last time, 5 of 199 (2.5%) were modal on markers 38-67. This
time, 8 of 252 (3.2%) were modal on markers 38-67. 6 of 252 now
have a GD of 10 or greater from the modals on markers 38-67.
One, Rogers 37495, has a GD of 14 from the modals on markers
38-67.
The person with the highest average GD is now Rogers 37495, who
has an average GD of 38.8 from the other members of the project.
He also shares the highest GD with another member of the
project, with a GD of 52 on 67 markers from Haynes 26700.
Rogers has several rare values, including DYS390=26 and
DYS557=14, but the strangest has to be his DYS481=29 which is 3
higher than the next higest in the project. The modal is
DYS481=22. Rogers has been SNP tested as R1b1c. If his test
results are correct, they suggest that R1b1c might be older than
previously thought.
The person with the lowest average GD is still me (Turner
N3036), with an average GD of 19.7 from the other members of the
project, now followed closely by St. John N19542 with an average
GD of 20.0 from the other members of the project.
Here is the distribution of average GDs:

of the project.
