A resident of Lompoc, and previously a long-time resident of Carson & San
Pedro, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at the age of 92. He was born
February 11, 1907 in Honalulu (sic), Hawaii and is survived by his son,
Stanley Imanaka of Lompoc; along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation
will be held on Sunday, March 7, 1999, 1-9 pm and Monday March 8, 1999, 9 am
- 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999, 11 am at
Green Hills Mortuary Chapel. Interment to follow in Green Hills Memorial

the age of 43. He was born July 14, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is
survived by his wife, Margie Ogata-Purganan; son, Chace and daughter, Aja
Purganan of Torrance; parents, Ely and Cathy Purganan of Hawaii; brother,
Mando Purganan of Colorado; sisters, Julie Massey, Teresita Romero, Juliana
Purganan, May Stevens and Leilani Garcia, all of Hawaii. Vigil Services will
be Monday, April 5, 1999 at 7:00 pm at Green Hills Chapel. Funeral Mass will
be Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at 10 am, at St. Catherine's (sic) Laboure Catholic
Church in Torrance with interment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.

86, a longtime South Bay resident, died May 7, 1999. She was born June 26,
1912 in Oahu, Hawaii. She was active in the Jolly Rodgers Sr. Club for 22
years. She will be lovingly remembered by her family of 4 children, Harold
(Carol) Cabral, Betty (Jack) Rogers, Andy Cabral and Gwen Protich; brother,
Albert Camara; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1
great-great-grandchild. Mother, we love and will miss you eternally. You
will remain in our hearts and we look forward to the day of "our journey" to
be with you. Sweet dreams and eternal peace. Go with God. Funeral services
will be Tuesday, May 11, 1999, 1 pm at St. Philomena Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowrs (sic),
donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Research.

was born in Paauhau, HI on June 13, 1911. He was a retired longshoreman for
the ILWU-Local 13. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Hilo, HI. He is survived by wife, Julia Rodrigues of Hilo, HI; two sons,
Carl (Lola) Rodrigues of Harbor City, CA and Lucy Dias of Mexico (sic); 11
grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Services were held in Hawaii on March
27, 1999. Sympathy cards may be sent to Julia or Edward Rodrigues 70 A Nohea
