I wish they would be a little more free with such information. Even a rough estimate would be beneficial. They havent

even told the Family History Library or World Wide Support missionaries. As a result, what is being seen is a large percentage

of members, as well as Priesthood leaders, are saying things like "Sounds nice. Let us know when it gets here and then we'll start paying attention to it and paying more attention to family history and the temple work."

I know that's not a good philosophy, but people feel that with so many other things on their plate when it comes to life in general as well as church, they just don't have time for things that are coming "SOME DAY in the future" or that that they can't participate in that others have an opportunity to right now.

When, according to one Family History Department official who spoke at a recent fireside, you have "the low end of a single percentage" of church members doing family history, anything that a consultant or missionary could grab on to to help get people doing what they are supposed to would sure be helpful. It gets discouraging for consultants and missionaries otherwise.
