Here's an advertizement, that I found in the newspaper, that you might get a
chuckle out of.

FOUND WHISKEY FATAL TO FLEAS
FLEAS ON DOGS---I have found, says a correspondent, that the following
recipe is most effectual in killing fleas on dogs, viz: to rub them all
over with whiskey. It acts like magic, killing them instantly. If all are
not polished off in one operation, one more will do the work.--Marietta
